The course, which underwent a complete overhaul and expansion to 18 holes by acclaimed architect Bill Newis in 1993, traverses through challenging terrain and features a number of risk-reward holes requiring precise shot-making. Be warned however, ‘precise shot-making’ can be hampered by the many magnificent vistas golfers are treated to while playing the course.

The par-four 16th – which was chosen as one of the top 10 holes in BC – is a great example. Here golfers paint their tee shots against a backdrop that includes the crystal waters of Kootenay Lake, the historic buildings of Nelson and the famed Kokanee Glacier!
