Sandon, BC, Canada
Part of the International Selkirk Loop Scenic Byway

Today Sandon is a ghost town, but in years gone by Sandon was called the Monte Carlo of North America. It was the capital of the Silvery Slocan. In the late 1800s, more than 5,000 people made this boomtown their home. Today there is a museum and visitor centre along with many other old buildings. Sandon is the gateway to the drive to Idaho Peak, a former lookout (high-clearance vehicles recommended). Read more about Sandon >>
