Dover lies within the Purcell Trench at an elevation of 2070 ft. and is nestled in the Selkirk Mountain Range, and bordered on the south by the Pend Oreille River. Within the city limits are over 11 miles of bike and pedestrian trails, 3000 ft. of public beach access, nearly 10 acres of public parks, a waterfront City Hall, and a Community Hall floated upriver from Laclede in 1922.
