Located 3 mi. w. of downtown Kettle Valls at US 395 and St. Paul's Mission Rd.,the center documents 9,000 years of human habitation in the area. Dioramas depict Native American life prior to European contact, as well as the trading post and pioneer periods. St. Paul's Mission is a log church restored to its 1847 appearance. An interpretive hiking trail leads from the mission to an overlook of the falls now submerged by Lake Roosevelt; the trail is not plowed in winter.
